Set of three brooches made of sterling silver (925). As a child, I loved illustrations made by Jerzy Srokowski for “The Snow Queen” book published in 1975 written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. I decided to convert these wonderful characters into the world of jewelry. I made three brooches: “Snow Queen”, “Kai” and “Gerda”, each of them can be fastened by a silver chain that connects every character together. This is a symbolic thread linking the fate of story participants. All elements have a brooch clasp so are safe during wearing.
Character’s clothes as I made of genuine leather, hand felted wool and guipure (type of lace), the queen also wears earnings with natural pearls. Brooches can be worn together or separately. The best way is to pin them to stiffer fabric – coat / thick sweater. If you love fanciful jewelry made only in one copy, this winter set will be perfect for You.
